If you have below 5 posts GIF attachments will not animate and instead they get automatically converted to a JPG. Once you reach 5 posts you must wait 10 minutes to be able to post GIFS as an attachment.
Make sure you have at least 5 posts (following the rules) or your .gifs will not work.
